Operational Workflow

This documents the project’s mature working process – it evolved iteratively through use rather than being designed at the outset.

The typical cycle

  1. Review current project state.
  2. Consult Mission Control.
  3. Consult relevant Knowledge Articles.
  4. Make decisions.
  5. Record Decisions.
  6. Update Tasks.
  7. Update Knowledge where required.
  8. Verify relationships.
  9. Continue development.

Session Handover Principles

Principles for ending a work session well – the natural bookend to the cycle above:

  • Record significant decisions.
  • Leave tasks in a known state.
  • Preserve new knowledge.
  • Update project status.
  • Make the next session easy to resume.

See “Every Session Should Leave The Project Stronger” for the decision that formalises this as a standing expectation rather than good intentions.
