Knowledge Migration Tracker

This is the control document for the Knowledge Preservation Project. It tracks which knowledge areas have been migrated from conversation history into permanent, structured Control Centre records, and which still exist only in conversation. Update this after every migration session.

FINAL STATUS (Sprint 15): Historical Migration Verified Complete

Sprint 15 complete. Historical Migration: Verified Complete for all conversation history actually provided (Sprints 1-14, 14 sources). See Migration Completion Report for the full permanent record and Known Historical Gaps for what remains genuinely uncertain. Current focus moves to Project Bible Compilation. This tracker remains in place for any future migration needs, but its primary historical job is now done.

Important note on source material (added Sprint 2)

Sprint 2 was requested as a migration of “the ChatGPT conversation,” but no such transcript has ever been shared with Claude in this Control Centre. Sprint 2’s migration instead drew on Claude’s own accumulated memory of real past passlee.com work. If an actual ChatGPT export exists, it still needs to be uploaded or pasted in before it can be migrated – nothing from it has been lost or skipped, it simply has not yet been made available.

Migration Status

Knowledge AreaStatusNotes
Mission Control & Control Centre DevelopmentVerified CompleteMigrated Sprint 1.
WebsiteIn ProgressMigrated Sprint 2: mobile header fix and caching architecture now recorded. Still missing: full site structure, business details, content strategy.
SEOIn ProgressMigrated Sprint 2: one post-launch Search Console review recorded. Ongoing SEO strategy and keyword work not yet migrated.
Homepage DevelopmentVerified CompleteSprint 9: full evolution history and enduring design principles now documented – see Homepage Evolution and Homepage Blueprint.
Business InformationVerified CompleteSprint 12: Business Identity & Positioning, Target Audience Evolution, and Core Differentiators now documented.
Technical ArchitectureIn ProgressControl Centre side covered by System Architecture (Phases 2-9). passlee.com side (caching, WordPress/Avada setup) now also covered by new Technical Notes as of Sprint 2.
AI CollaborationVerified CompleteSprint 8: AI Collaboration Workflow, Why the Knowledge Site Exists, and Conversation Migration Process articles created and cross-linked; the AI Knowledge page (previously a blank Phase 1 placeholder) now indexes them.
Mission ControlVerified CompleteCovered within the Mission Control & Control Centre Development article.
Development HistoryIn ProgressControl Centre Phases 1-9 have Task records (Sprint 1). passlee.com-side changes (mobile fix, cache fix) now have Change records (Sprint 2).
Security HistoryIn ProgressSprint 7: the incident, recovery timeline, and hardening practices are now fully documented and cross-linked. Marked In Progress rather than Verified Complete because hardening and monitoring are ongoing practices, not a closed historical record.
Google Search ConsoleIn ProgressOne post-launch review migrated as a Technical Note (Sprint 2). Further reviews, if any occur, should be added as additional Technical Notes or Change records rather than editing this one.
Future RoadmapIn ProgressCaptured in the Project Status Roadmap field; not yet its own narrative article.
DecisionsIn Progress6 Control Centre decisions (Sprint 1) + 2 passlee.com decisions (Sprint 2, mu-plugin approach and dynamic cache paths) now recorded.
TasksIn Progress9 historical Control Centre phase Tasks + 1 active migration Task (Sprint 1). No new Tasks added in Sprint 2 (the passlee.com fixes were already complete, so they were recorded as Changes, not Tasks).
ChangesIn Progress1 Control Centre migration Change (Sprint 1) + 2 passlee.com Changes – mobile header fix, cache path fix (Sprint 2).

What still exists only in conversation history (or nowhere at all)

  • Any content from an actual ChatGPT conversation, if one exists – not yet accessible to Claude.
  • Full passlee.com content strategy and business details (service areas, offering).
  • Any website security or recovery incidents – possibly genuinely nonexistent, or simply not yet in Claude’s memory.
  • Ongoing/ranking-level SEO detail beyond the one Search Console review already migrated.

Recommended next migration

If a ChatGPT transcript becomes available, prioritise it per the original Priority Order (passlee.com SEO/content first). Otherwise, Business Information (PassLee’s service areas and offering) is the next well-bounded, genuinely-known category.

Sprint 3 – ChatGPT transcript migration (important finding)

The uploaded transcript (“Reconstructing PassLee Homepage”, a ChatGPT share export) has been fully read – all 11 messages, 100% processed – and it does not contain what was expected. It is not months of SEO/homepage/business work. It is a short meta-conversation in which Lee pasted Claude’s own Phase 8 and Phase 9 reports into ChatGPT for a second opinion, and ChatGPT recommended the exact “feed Claude the real transcript directly” strategy that led to this migration task. It contains no Search Console findings, no Google Business Profile detail, no review strategy, no content strategy, and no business decisions beyond what’s already in the Control Centre.

What it did contain, genuinely new and now migrated:

  • Two pieces of real user feedback on the dashboard (“sea of text” before Phase 8; “too white and clinical” + an invisible-button-text bug after Phase 9) – merged into the existing Mission Control & Control Centre Development article rather than creating a duplicate.
  • The invisible-button-text feedback led to finding and fixing a genuine CSS specificity bug, live on the Dashboard now, documented in a new Technical Note.
  • That same investigation discovered the LiteSpeed Cache plugin is now active on this site (it was not in Phase 1), which had been silently serving stale pages during the fix – also documented in that Technical Note, since it affects how future PHP edits should be verified.
  • A Decision record capturing why the AI-workflow itself changed (transcripts as primary evidence, not AI-relayed memory).

The transcript also references an earlier, separate ChatGPT conversation (“Reconstruct the old PassLee homepage from this SQL database… compare it with the current homepage”) – but the content of that reconstruction is not included in this export, only a passing mention of it. If that earlier conversation still exists, it – not this one – is likely where genuine homepage/SEO history actually lives, and would need to be exported and uploaded separately.

Updated status: Website / SEO / Homepage Development

Unchanged from Sprint 2 – this transcript did not add passlee.com SEO/homepage/business knowledge despite being framed as the source for exactly that. Still In Progress, still waiting on either the actual homepage-reconstruction conversation or direct input from Lee.

Sprint 4 – Real SEO strategy migration (genuine Priority 1 content, at last)

Unlike Sprint 3, this session’s source material was substantial and directly on-topic. Migrated:

  • New “PassLee SEO Strategy” Knowledge Article – Evolution of SEO Strategy, Authority Gap, Content Strategy, Content Principles, Roadmap Priorities, current Homepage Guidance, all in one coherent document rather than fragmented notes.
  • New Decision: “Shift from Homepage Optimisation to Authority Building” – the project’s key strategic pivot, treated as a milestone.
  • 6 new Tasks for the increased-priority roadmap items (Pass Stories, Worcester guides, Test Route resources, Difficult Junction guides, local authority articles, Google Business Profile & Reviews growth).
  • Expanded the existing Google Search Console Review Technical Note with the strategic interpretation (low impressions vs. acceptable CTR/relevance, insufficient authority signals) rather than duplicating it.
  • Filled in the Homepage Blueprint page, which had sat as a blank Phase 1 placeholder ever since – it now carries real, current guidance.

Updated status: Website / SEO / Homepage Development

SEO: In Progress -> substantially advanced (current strategy is now fully documented; execution of the roadmap Tasks is what remains). Homepage Development: In Progress -> the Homepage Blueprint page now has real, current guidance, though the full historical evolution of the homepage (previous versions, what changed and why over time) is still not captured. Business Information remains Not Started.

Sprint 6 – Google Business Profile & Trust Signal Strategy

Migrated conversation count so far: 6 (Sprints 1-6). No dedicated “conversation count” field exists in the schema – tracked here in the Migration Tracker rather than adding a new custom field, to keep with the “no new functionality during preservation” approach.

  • New: Google Business Profile Strategy article (GBP’s role, ongoing-asset framing, website/GBP consistency).
  • New Decision: Google Reviews Prioritised Over Review Quantity Alone – cross-linked to Google Reviews Guidance, Pass Stories Strategy, and PassLee SEO Strategy.
  • Expanded PassLee SEO Strategy: added Trust Signals section and the “keyword optimisation -> Relevance/Authority/Trust/Experience/Freshness” framework section.
  • Expanded Google Reviews Guidance: added Review Collection Principles.
  • 3 new recurring Tasks: ongoing GBP maintenance, GBP performance monitoring, trust-building content publication.

Updated status: SEO and Google Search Console areas now substantially developed, covering strategy, reviews, pass stories, and GBP as one coherent, cross-linked framework.

Sprint 7 – Security Incident & Recovery History (Priority 2, complete)

Migrated conversation count so far: 7 (Sprints 1-7).

  • New: Security Incident – Website Compromise (historical record: hacked pages, gambling/spam content in Google, unauthorised files, Search Console anomalies, initial uncertainty about attack vector).
  • New: Website Recovery Timeline (discovery through to return to normal operation) – note: this is content, not the Control Centre’s own planned interactive “Timeline” roadmap feature; flagged to avoid confusing the two.
  • New: Security Hardening Strategy (permanent practices), including the new “technical health is a prerequisite for SEO” operational principle.
  • New Decision: Security Before SEO – cross-linked to the Security Incident, Recovery Timeline, and PassLee SEO Strategy.
  • New Technical Note: Search Console During Recovery.

Security History status updated below.

Sprint 8 – AI Workflow & Knowledge Preservation (Priority 3)

Migrated conversation count so far: 8 (Sprints 1-8).

  • New: AI Collaboration Workflow (ChatGPT’s and Claude’s roles, which evolved naturally).
  • New: Why the Knowledge Site Exists (cross-referencing rather than repeating Mission Control & Control Centre Development).
  • New: Conversation Migration Process – documents the actual migration method used across this entire Knowledge Preservation Project, including the “preserve knowledge, not conversations” principle and the known article-to-article linking limitation.
  • New Decision: Project Knowledge Must Be Independent of AI Memory – framed as a project milestone, cross-linked to all three new articles plus the existing Mission Control article.
  • Filled in the AI Knowledge page, which had sat as a blank Phase 1 placeholder since the very first sprint – now indexes the three new articles.

Sprint 9 – Homepage Evolution & Design Principles (Priority 1)

Migrated conversation count so far: 9 (Sprints 1-9).

  • New: Homepage Evolution (original objectives, why successive redesigns occurred, diminishing returns, why the project shifted away from homepage expansion, Homepage Lessons Learned).
  • Expanded Homepage Blueprint with 6 enduring design principles (clarity before keywords, trust before SEO embellishment, clear CTAs, genuine local relevance, experience over marketing language, evidence over claims).
  • New Decision: Homepage Considered Mature – explicitly linked to the Sprint 4 “Shift from Homepage Optimisation to Authority Building” decision as its direct continuation, preserving the historical progression.
  • Note: Homepage Blueprint is a native WordPress Page, not a Knowledge Article, so it cannot be linked through the relationship system – cross-references to it use plain hyperlinks only, same workaround as article-to-article links.

Homepage Development is now considered Verified Complete for currently-provided source material.

Sprint 10 – GBP Strategy Evolution & Review Methodology (Priority 1)

Migrated conversation count so far: 10 (Sprints 1-10).

  • Expanded Google Business Profile Strategy with “Relationship Between GBP and Organic SEO.”
  • New: Review Strategy Evolution (the journey, not just current guidance).
  • Merge decision: the requested “Authentic Reviews Over Artificial Growth” Decision was recognised as the same conclusion as Sprint 6’s “Google Reviews Prioritised Over Review Quantity Alone” – expanded that existing Decision instead of creating a duplicate, per the documented migration process (merge duplicates, don’t create parallel records).
  • Expanded Trust Signals (within PassLee SEO Strategy) with the “accumulated ecosystem, not one dominant factor” clarification and the Sprint 10 milestone, explicitly cross-linked to the Sprint 4 shift.
  • New: Common SEO Misconceptions Corrected (4 misconceptions with corrected understanding).

Sprint 11 – Search Console Strategy & Evidence-Based SEO (Priority 1)

Migrated conversation count so far: 11 (Sprints 1-11).

  • New: Search Console Strategy (diagnostic vs. ranking tool, symptoms vs. causes, trend analysis over snapshots).
  • Expanded the Google Search Console Review Technical Note with the 5-question operating methodology.
  • New Decision: Data Before Assumptions – its milestone framing explicitly threads together the Sprint 4, Sprint 7, and Sprint 10 milestones as one throughline (evidence over instinct), rather than treating this as a standalone moment.
  • New: SEO Investigation Methodology (6-step sequence, evolved through experience).
  • Expanded Common SEO Misconceptions Corrected with a 5th misconception (“every ranking movement requires action”).

Sprint 12 – Business Identity & Positioning (Priority 1)

Migrated conversation count so far: 12 (Sprints 1-12).

  • New: Business Identity & Positioning – includes Core Differentiators and Brand Consistency as sections rather than separate thin articles/notes, since both are direct extensions of positioning.
  • New: Target Audience Evolution.
  • New Decision: Differentiate Through Experience Rather Than Price – framed as the audience-facing counterpart to the Sprint 4 and Sprint 5 SEO-facing decisions.

Business Information is now Verified Complete for currently-provided source material – the only originally Not Started knowledge area (besides Security History and AI Collaboration, both since completed) now has real content.

Sprint 13 – Project Governance & Knowledge Quality (Priority 3)

Migrated conversation count so far: 13 (Sprints 1-13).

  • New: Project Governance (evidence-based decisions, Decision Records, rationale over outcomes, traceability, move away from undocumented changes).
  • New: Development Principles – the project’s high-level engineering philosophy, with Knowledge Quality Principles folded in as a section rather than a separate note.
  • New Decision: Preserve Context With Every Decision – its milestone framing explicitly ties together Sprint 8, Sprint 11, and Sprint 12’s milestones as one progression from documentation to knowledge management.
  • Expanded AI Collaboration Workflow with how responsibilities evolved during the migration itself – including naming specific judgement-call merges from earlier sprints as concrete examples.

Sprint 14 – Operational Workflow & Project Continuity (Priority 3)

Migrated conversation count so far: 14 (Sprints 1-14).

  • New: Project Continuity Strategy (the challenge, Mission Control’s role, session-based -> project-based working).
  • New: Operational Workflow – the 9-step working cycle, with Session Handover Principles folded in as its natural closing section rather than a separate note.
  • New Decision: Every Session Should Leave The Project Stronger – all 5 cross-link targets were Articles, so this one is fully supported by the relationship system with no workaround needed. Its milestone framing ties together Sprint 8 and Sprint 13 as one progression toward operational continuity.
  • Expanded Mission Control & Control Centre Development with its Intended Responsibilities and the explicit “operational dashboard, not archive” distinction.

Sprint 15 – Migration Completion & Knowledge Verification

Full audit performed against all 14 prior sprints (see full data pull: 27 Articles, 20 Decisions, 21 Tasks, 6 Technical Notes, 5 Changes, 1 Competitor). No omissions found requiring correction – all enduring information provided across Sprints 1-14 was migrated, expanded into existing records, or explicitly excluded as transient discussion.

  • New: Migration Completion Report (the permanent record of the migration itself).
  • New: Known Historical Gaps (explicit, honest list of what remains missing – dates, screenshots, specific examples, competitor intelligence, the never-provided SQL homepage reconstruction).
  • New Decision: Historical Migration Complete – the Knowledge Recovery -> Knowledge Maintenance milestone.
  • Mission Control updated: focus moved to Project Bible Compilation.
